In an effort to encourage Fred to take an interest in the concept of walking, we have bought him some proper shoes. It was stupidly moving to watch his miniture little curly feet placed in one of those metal shoe-size rulers and strapped in for measurement. Not so much when he bent forward and tried to eat the ruler.
That was a week ago and since then there has been no improvement on the walking front. He's incredibly co-ordinated and agile in his movements, crawling at high speed and cruising along happily (walking whilst holding onto something). But the bit of his brain which comprehends the gloriousness of walking is obviously underdeveloped. Which is probably a good thing as he's handful enough.
